Recognizing the need for additional support due to racial disparities in the healthcare system and racial trauma, Hand to Hold introduced a virtual support group for Black families. Support groups for Black families of the NICU are necessary, safe, and affirming spaces to gather around a shared identity for healing, processing and support of Black mothers.

Project Sweet Peas provides care packages, hospital events, peer-to-peer support, financial aid, educational materials, and other Project Sweet Peas services, support the cultural, spiritual, emotional, and financial needs of families as they endure life in the NICU.
